Way back last month, I shared some thoughts on Waldorf Education, and then completely dropped the ball. The more I try to write about Waldorf, the more I have to say, and the more complicated the issue seems to become. I thought I had one more piece in me about Waldorf and then I could set the topic to the side and talk about other things, but now I’m not so sure.

You know the saying “a broken clock is right twice a day?” That is a bit how I feel about our old pal Rudolf Steiner. The man wrote and lectured so widely on so many topics at such length (and often saying contradictory things) that a few of his ideas were bound to turn out to be correct. The trouble is that many people, nearly all people involved in the Waldorf Education movement, believe that these instances of prove that he had some kind of incredible insight into the world, the human condition, and everything.
